Rescue FAQs

Save a Bun Rabbit Rescue’s number one goal is saving the stray and homeless bunnies in the Treasure Valley and keeping more bunnies from being abandoned. It’s a tragic misconception that like their wild counterparts, domestic rabbits can survive on their own. Once dumped, a pet bunny will quickly become food, and if multiple bunnies are abandoned together, they can start a feral colony.

Additional adoption info

Choosing the right rabbit will reward you and your family with years of unconditional love and companionship.
We urge you to take some time to consider the type of rabbit that will best fit your lifestyle and to remember that rabbit ownership is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Owning a rabbit means taking on the responsibility of caring for the rabbit through its entire life, which in many cases can mean a 12-year commitment.
