DVGRR is located in Lancaster County, PA. Since 1993, DVGRR has successfully placed thousands of Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Goldendoodles and Labradoodles into new homes throughout PA and beyond. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit relying on donations, supporters, fundraising, and event and retail proceeds for funding to provide top-quality care to all DVGRR dogs.

We adopt dogs to anyone willing to travel to our Rescue location in Reinholds, PA to meet and adopt the dog once they have completed an adoption application form and have been approved to adopt from us.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Interview
- Approve Application
- Meet the pet and all family members and any other dog already living in the home. We do charge an adoption fee.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay Fee
- Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We also request a Vet reference and ask for folks to email photos of their home. During COVID we have been using ZOOM to communicate with new adopters and to look at their fence and yard areas if the dog they are interested in requires a fence.
