About Love and Purrs Sanctuary
Love and Purrs Sanctuary is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for at risk cats and kittens. Over 95% of our cats and kittens come from the streets! They are the forgotten, abused and neglected. We believe human contact and companionship is needed to foster security and trust with these forgotten second chance kitties.We truly take the time to understand a cats needs and personality. Our furry feline friends have all the love and care they desire here. All of our cats and kittens live in a fully free roaming environment with us. With catios and cat towers galore, every cat and kitten can find a perfect spot to lounge. We are not a foster based “rescue” and the majority of the cats and kittens live with us until they find their special person that wants to adopt them. We are a “sanctuary” because unlike a “rescue”, cats and kittens can stay with us for as long as they need to before they are adopted. For some that has been years and that is okay with us.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
