Rescue FAQs

Our Mission: Rescue abused, neglected, abandoned dogs. Address their medical needs and provide temporary homes until they are adopted. Spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip all dogs that come into Me and My Shadow Dog Rescue, if needed. Find good loving forever homes for these rescued dogs. Assist small towns in NM with spaying/neutering of resident’s dogs through low-income voucher programs or mobile vet services. Provide needed medical care for senior dogs with the goal to either make them adoptable or provide them with hospice care at a Me and My Shadow Dog Rescue foster home. We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, foster-based rescue organization. We do not adopt pets outside New Mexico.
