Rescue FAQs

Make A Stand Bully Rescue (MASBR) is a Texas based organization specializing in pit bull and bully-breed adoptions. We are a “no-kill” animal rescue! Our program strives to place healthy, social pit bulls and bully breeds in adoptive forever homes. When you adopt a dog from MASBR, you and your family will join our rescue network! MASBR offers lifelong support, resources, and connections that allow your pit bull adoption to succeed! Whether you’re here in Texas, out of state, or even in Canada, we can make your dream of adopting a Texas Pit Bull come true.
We adopt out our dogs predominantly in Texas, but have adopted nationwide and even into Canada. Our foster families are stationed in Bryan/College Station, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Abilene and the surrounding areas.

Additional adoption info

Our rigorous adoption process ensures we are selecting the right home for each individual dog and his/her unique personality. This includes an application, home check, veterinary reference check, personal reference checks (only in certain situations), landlord checks (for rentals), phone interview with candidate, and meet and greet with our dog. From there we sign paperwork, pay the fee and send the dog home. We follow up frequently during the first few weeks, but are always a resource to our adopters.
