Our city government shut down the animal control department in January 2024. Prior to shutting down the department, our city run shelter was grossly underfunded.
Our small non-profit was born from the lack of care or interest in animal welfare by our city officials. After the shut down, we assumed responsibility for animals that were unable to be moved from the shelter. They are currently in foster homes and we are focusing our efforts towards spaying and neutering homeless animals in our community. Our goals are to find the dogs from the shelter fantastic forever homes and greatly reduce the vicious cycle of unwanted litters born on the street.
