My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty needs a forever home!

He is approximately 8 months old beagle/hound mix. I
He was rescued by a homeowner when their dogs were threatening attack. When picked up, he went into front seat of truck and fell asleep. Rusty is very social and wants to play with all dogs. He has to not been cat tested but would love some kids to play with. Rusty is neutered, UTD on shots, on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives.

More about this rescue

Our small, volunteer based, non-profit was formed in September 2023. Our city run shelter was grossly underfunded so we stepped in to fundraise and financially assist with vet care, transports, and food for the animals at the shelter. In January 2024, our city council decided to no longer fund the animal control department. Since that time, we have continued to assist with the care of animals in our community. Our goals are to find fantastic forever homes for these amazing dogs and focus on spaying and neutering homeless animals in effort to greatly reduce the vicious cycle of unwanted litters born on the street.
