Rescue FAQs

Ruff Road Revival is a foster-based animal rescue based in DFW, TX. We prioritize saving animals from euthanasia at local shelters and getting strays off of the streets and into homes. We adopt both locally and out of state. I started the rescue because there is a crisis especially here in Texas with the overpopulation of dogs and cats as well as euthanasia for space. I have always loved animals and have volunteered with many different species but running my own rescue has always been something I felt called to do. I wanted to do my part to make a difference and help these animals.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
All of our pets are in foster homes, so they would visit our website or social media to find a pet
  2. Submit Application
We have an adoption application online that has to be submitted before any action is taken.
  3. Interview
I, or a team member, interview the potential adopter via phone call and then the foster interviews them as well.
  4. Approve Application
The adopter must be vetted and approved prior to any further steps.
  5. Meet the Pet
If the adopter is local, they would schedule a meet and greet with the foster at this time. If they are out of state, they would video chat.
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
  7. Pay Fee

Additional adoption info

The final step is to take the pet home either in person if local or if out of state, the pet goes on transport to their new home. If they go on transport, they receive a health certificate prior.
