Rescue FAQs

The HSVLC is a non-profit organization that only rescues animals based on available foster homes and funding. All of our dogs and some of our cats live in foster homes. Loving families have taken them in and are caring for them until they find their furrever home. We also house many of our cats at our office location. We have four cage free rooms dedicated to housing our resident cats. You can stop by our office during business hours to visit our residents or contact us in advance to schedule a visit with one of our fosters.

  1. Submit Application
    1. Our adoption application is available on our website, https://www.humanesocietyofvaldosta.org/online-adoption-form/
  2. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. Once we receive your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet with our adoptable pets!
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Did you find the purrfect match and fall in love? Our adoption fee is $100 for cats/kittens and $185 for dogs.
