Additional adoption info
We use a conversational approach to the adoption process to help match you with a companion animal. Fill out an application for a pet that interests you. Then our staff members will have a discussion with you about the type of animal you’re looking for, your lifestyle, etc. in order to make the best match possible for everyone.
All available animals can be viewed on our website uvhs.org. This is the most up-to-date information as the website is connected to our animal database.
If you are interested in a particular animal, click the “Apply for Adoption” button on their bio underneath their photos. We will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet appointment. In many cases, you may take your new furry family member home the same day.
Adoption Fees
Dogs and cats adopted from UVHS will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, examined by our medical team and veterinarian, evaluated by our behavior coordinator (for dogs), and loved by staff members and volunteers. Each pet’s adoption fee is listed on their bio page.
$50 will be deducted for adoption to senior citizens and veterans, with appropriate ID.
