Rescue FAQs

WE AREN'T JUST FOR PITBULLS, WE JUST HAPPEN TO LIKE A CHALLENGE!!! We do occasionally take in and adopt other breeds of animals and even other species. Just check our pet lists and see who we have available. We also offer adoptions from Private parties that we handle. These animals are sometimes free or at reduced costs. This service allows us to help the community when we have no room for intake cases, in some cases we just ask the families to foster the animal until adoption. We are a Incorperate Non Prifit, but are not 501c3 certified YET(those papers are being filed right as we speak)Rescue for Pitbulls and other Bully Breeds(we also occasionally have other dog breeds up for adoption!). We also take in, on a case by case basis, Reptiles and Abandoned Kittens/Puppies. We also now, have a staff member who is a Licensed Rehabilitator through Texas Parks and Wild Life!!!! Our adoption fees USUALLY run around $30-$200(unless the animal is an emergency case) this is used to pay for Vet expenses, food, and supplies, our goal is to break even but that doesn't always happen in rescue. If a animal is not yet altered we will arrange for the surgery to take place and you will be able to pick the animal up the day of the surgery, a non refundable deposit of $10.00 is required to hold ANY of our animals. In some cases we will take donation of GOOD QUALITY items in exchange for an adoption fee. We only encourage people who have experience with Pitbulls or who have studied the breed thouroughly to adopt one. We thank you for considering one our animals. Sorry but due to a bad check being passed by CAROLINA S. RODRIQUES WHO LIVES IN ARLINGTON TX, we can no longer take checks from people wishing to adopt. We will hold the animal for TWO BUSINESS DAYS(48 hours)to allow you to retreive the funds from your bank. We regret this decision but we are not a funded rescue all of the animal care comes from our pockets and adding Insufficient Check charges to that is just a cost we do not want to pass on to our adopting families. We are sorry for any inconveinience this may cause.

Additional adoption info

We DO NOT do on the spot adoptions!!! Our goal is to give every animal the best chance at a new home, therefore we do not do "Spur of the Moment" adoptions. When comming to meet a new possible pet you should bring all family members who will live with the pet, all parties must be in agreement of the animal. You should have a Vets Name and Contact number for a reference. Animals DO NOT go home with you that day, unless otherwise agreed, we will drop the animal off at your residence to do a home inspection before relasing the animal and accpeting the adoption fee as agreed in previous discussions. WE DO NOT TACK ON LARGER ADOPTION FEES FOR MORE DESIREABLE ANIMALS LIKE SOME OTHER RESCUES, OUR ADOPTION FEES ARE TO COVER WHAT WE SPENT ON THAT SPECIFIC ANIMAL!!! If an animal has been with our rescue for over 1 year we lessen the adoption fee to try to help get that animal adopted quicker. Please email us if you have a specific animal in mind or if you want more information about us. We also have a waiting list for specific breeds of animal, this way we can help out more animals.
