Second Chance Dobes

Who We Are Second Chance Dobes Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Clinton, Michigan. Our mission is to foster, rehabilitate and help find Doberman Pinschers new homes, giving them a second chance on life. We provide any medical assistance needed to every dog that comes into our program along with spaying and neutering. History of Second Chance Dobes Founder Arda Barber has been rescuing Dobermans Pinchers since 1981. Her mission to help the breed began with a visit to a Humane Society to pick up a boxer for a friend. Also at the shelter were four beautiful Dobermans slated that day for euthanasia if homes were not found for them. Without thinking twice, Arda loaded the four Dobes and Boxer into her van and brought them home to safety. Since that day, Arda has rescued over 3,000 Dobes and over 1,000 dogs of other breeds. Our Mission Second Chance Dobes is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of Doberman Pinschers. We are soley run by volunteers who have the time, patience, and the love of Dobes needed to make this effort possible.
