Shelter FAQs

We are a small, community-focused animal shelter proudly serving the City of Giddings and Lee County. Our mission is to connect as many pets as possible with loving, forever homes where they can thrive.

Every day, we work to provide care, safety, and compassion for animals in need while helping families find the perfect companion. Through community support, responsible pet adoption, and dedicated volunteers, we strive to give every pet the opportunity for a brighter future.

At our shelter, we believe every animal deserves a chance to be loved. By promoting adoption and responsible pet ownership, we’re building a stronger, more compassionate community, one happy adoption at a time.
City of Giddings, And Residents of Lee County.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
  2. Meet the Pet
  3. Sign Adoption Contract

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $75 for cats, at the time of adoption you are given a $100 vet voucher for dogs and a $75 voucher for cats to be used at local vets who recognize our vet vouchers to offset the costs of getting the animal spayed or neutered and rabies vaccinated. At the time of adoption the appointment for the animal to receive rabies vaccination is set along with the appointment for being spayed or neutered. Before leaving the shelter each animal will be up to date on vaccinations according to age, dewormed and microchipped and the microchip is registered to the new owner. When supplies are available we give adoption bags filled with information and goodies to take home with your new family member. All adoptions are done on site at the animal shelter located at 1900 S Leon, Giddings, Tx 78942.
