Our requirements are in place to ensure that our foster dogs find the right home for them & that the dog is a good fit for the adopters. All dogs are temperament tested and we will wait rather than put a dog in the wrong home. We require 3 personal references, a vet reference, a homevisit, signed adoption contract & adoption fee. Unless you are willing to go thru this process, please do not contact us. Thank you

About Chow Chows to the Rescue
We are a small group of petlovers just like yourself that learned about the terrible fate of unwanted dogs & simply couldn't stand by & do nothing. This work is a labor of love & is all volunteer. We are always looking for folks that would like to get involved so please contact us if you care about chows & chow mixes. All dogs are currently cared for in foster homes but we hope to have a kennel & sanctuary setup sometime in the near future. We are a non-kill organization which means that unless a dog is seriously ill beyond help or is vicious that we do not euthanize them. They live out their lives with us unless a home can be found. As a result a sanctuary is very much needed in the near future. If you are aware of 20 acres or more of land in the central Ohio area that is available or you would like to donate land then please contact us. Thanx

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
