Shelter FAQs

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati by providing a compassionate no-kill shelter and programs that promote responsible pet care. We are privately-funded and receive no government funding.
The Greater Cincinnati area, including Clermont, Hamilton and Brown Counties as well as Northern Kentucky.

Additional adoption info

Prior to adoption, all cats and dogs are given the proper vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. All cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV; all dogs are tested for heartworm; and all necessary vaccinations are given before animals are adopted into loving homes.


Adoptions must be completed at our shelter in Batavia, Ohio.

Dog Adoptions

• $125 fee for adult dogs

• $200 fee for puppies under 6 months

• All dogs have been vet-checked, have appropriate vaccines, and have been heartworm tested.

• All dogs have been spayed or neutered.

Cat Adoptions

• $50 fee for adult cats

• $75 fee for kittens under 6 months

• All cats are tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, and are vet-checked and vaccinated.

• All cats have been spayed or neutered.
