Rescue FAQs

CatNap from the Heart is a shelter located in La Grange Park, Illinois, specializing in the adoption of cats and kittens, and occasionally rabbits and guinea pigs. We are unlike most shelters in that we work with animal control agencies to rescue cats when they are overloaded. We do a limited amount of in-home cat sitting in our local area. We also have a low cost veterinary clinic specializing in the spay and neuter of cats and small to medium dogs. Contact us for additional information.

Additional adoption info

Due to COVID-19, please see below regarding adoption requirements. We do require you to fill out a short application when you come in to see the cats and small mammals up for adoption. We prefer that most of the family take part in the adoption process so we can fit the cat to the family and their lifestyle. All cats are tested for FeLV and FIV, spayed or neutered and microchipped, with initial shots. We only require that if you must give up the cat at a later date that you return the cat to our facility for re-adoption and that your cat live an indoor lifestyle only.
