The Richmond SPCA's primary service area includes the City of Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and Goochland, though we welcome adopters from all over, regardless of residency.
To best protect the health and wellbeing of our team members and visitors, we require physical distancing and mask wearing.
Walk through the dog and cat adoption areas, and when a pet tugs on your heart strings, we encourage you to speak with an adoption counselor
Tell us about your expectations, wishes and members of your household on our one-page adopter survey. Consider filling it out online.
Your adoption counselor will review all that we know about the pet's medical history and behavior while in our care.
You'll be asked to show a government-issued photo identification and proof of your address.
Check out in our Lora Robins Gift shop where essential supplies for your new companion are available for purchase.
You'll take your new companion home the same day. Expert behavior support is available by calling 804-643-7722.

The Richmond SPCA is located at 2519 Hermitage Road at the corner of Hermitage Road and Rhoadmiller Street. Our parking lots are directly in front of our facilities.
