Rescue FAQs

Rhode Island People for Animal Welfare Services (RIPAWS) is a nonprofit rescue group dedicated to placing homeless or unwanted cats and dogs(and an occasional hedgehog or ferret) in permanent, loving homes. Since we do not have a shelter, our dogs are boarded in kennels and our cats are in foster care. We also crosspost for other shelters on our website for added exposure and we help to re-home owned animals. All donations directly benefit the animals. There are no paid employees, only dedicated volunteers!
.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are screened via application. The adoption fee for a cat is $75 and $100 for a dog.
