Rescue FAQs

Petsaver-NC is an all volunteer rescue group for dogs and sometimes kittens located near Chapel Hill, NC. Most of the animals in the network are rescued from local shelters. All animals are provided appropriate routine medical care and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Foster caregivers keep the animals at their homes until appropriate permanent homes are located for the animals. Petsaver-NC is a no-kill organization.

Petsaver-NC adopts to homes both locally and out of the area with appropriate references and an approved application. Potential adopters meet the animals in the Chapel Hill, NC area which is located in central North Carolina.

Additional adoption info

Please submit an adoption application to petsavernc@bellsouth.net. After your application is reviewed and references called, the foster caregiver will offer in person visitation with the pet of your choice. Strict Covid-19 safety precautions are required at visitation. Two week trial adoption with refund is allowed on any Petsaver NC pet.
