Additional adoption info
Please visit our website - www.minpinhaven.com, fill out and submit an adoption application and we will contact you to set up a time to meet the dog(s) you are interested in adopting. We will check your vet and personal references and then schedule a home visit. Incomplete applications, lack of home visits or not meeting all the people who will live in the house with the potential new dog are all non-negotiable components of our adoption process.
Our adoption contract is listed on our website (www.minpinhaven.com). Please review it carefully and ask questions.
Since MinPins are a hunting breed and are small, homes with young children are most likely not a good option for this breed, but of course, it depends on the family.
We have a sliding scale (based on age of the dog) adoption fee. In addition to this adoption fee, we ask for reimbursement of veterinary care which covers among other services, the micro-chip, current on all shots, heartworm tested (and negative) and on Heartgard and of course, spayed or neutered.
We require that all dogs or cats in the home be indoor residents and be spayed or neutered.
