About We CARE-4-Paws

We CARE-4-Paws is a non-profit organization that consist of an awesome bunch of like-minded volunteers who through their loving hands and hearts are making a difference helping our furry friends by supporting the needs of PetSmarts and rescue groups.

We are partnered with Last Chance Animal Rescue (LCAR) who rescues most of our furry friends and is responsible for their health and welfare, to include ensuring their safe delivery to PetSmart Charities Adoption Centers from Maryland to Northern Virginia. As a result of our partnership, we are responsible for the overall management of those PetSmart Charities Adoption Centers partnered with LCAR, as well as hosting Dog Adoption Events, which includes but is not limited to: recruiting volunteers and development of PetSmart Charities Adoption Center policy and guidance.

Bottom Line: Volunteers are our most valuable assets, and we have personable Volunteer Coordinators to organize well-meaning volunteers into a powerhouse for the animals! Together we are making a real difference!

You will find our volunteers in PetSmart Charities Adoption Centers providing daily routine care to our furry friends, assisting potential adopters and providing useful information to PetSmart customers. Our volunteers are dedicated and committed to ensuring the safety, welfare, and adoption process is a positive one. It is through the generous hearts and hands of our volunteers, we ensure that animals who come into our care will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain.

We CARE-4-Paws's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Pasadena, MD.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
