Shelter FAQs

Our shelter is open to the public during the following times: Monday – Friday: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Closed on Sundays We welcome visitors during these hours for adoptions, donations, and general inquiries. Even though we are open during those hours, it is still highly encouraged to call or message our Facebook page due to the high volume of Animal Control calls we receive daily. By calling AHEAD of time (we can see you on the cameras when you pull up, lol) we can do our best to make sure someone is here to help you.
We take in animals from Clay County, Illinois, but adopt out to good people all over the country.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies and 5 way vaccination, deworming and microchipping. All dogs are heartworm checked and on heartworm prevention.
