We are not a county agency and are not affiliated with any other humane societies. We financially depend on our thrift shop, memberships, donations, adoption fees, grants, and bequests to survive.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
  2. Submit Application
    You must be 21 years of age to adopt/Fill out our questionnaire, and have your photo ID and pictures of your present address.
  3. Approve Application
    Have the consent of your landlord if you rent or lease your home.

Please answer a dog or cat questionnaire from https://skagithumane.org/adopt-a-pet/ carefully and completely and then bring with you to the Humane Society of Skagit Valley at 18841 Kelleher Road in Burlington.

The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, microchip, collar and HSSV ID tag, first vaccines and free veterinary checkup within Skagit County.
