Rescue FAQs
Heart of Geogia is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Humane Society that rescues death row animals from Macon Animal Control and Baldwin County Animal Control. Our goal is to eliminate euthanasia by spaying or neutering dogs and cats.
We rescue from Macon Animal Control and Baldwin County Animal Control, but we adopt to anywhere in the State of Georgia
Additional adoption info
To ensure the best possible home for all dogs we have established the following guidelines for all adoptions.
1. We require a fenced yard for all dogs.
The fence must be attached to your house.
No kennels, pens, runners, or chains.
2. Suitable dogs may be adopted to apartments on an individual basis
3. Dogs must be on heartworm prevention
4.We will do a vet check to see if other dogs or cats receive yearly care and are on heartworm prevention.
5.Most dogs are required to be inside/outside pets.
6.All dogs will be delivered to you.
7.Our adoption fee for dogs is $100.
