The adoption fee for animals is $60 for cats and $75 for dogs. This fee includes spaying/neutering and a host of vaccinations. All animals over 4 months of age will be spayed or neutered before going home with the adoptive family. For puppies and kittens under 4 months of age, and exotic animals, adoptions can only be made to areas adjacent to the City of Suffolk. These areas include: Chesapeake, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Portsmouth, Newport News, Franklin, Smithfield, Windsor.
