Rescue FAQs

Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls abandoned dogs and cats from shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. Our philosophy is that each pet deserves a loving home and a long, healthy, happy life. We do everything in our power to ensure pets receive the training, veterinary care, and loving attention needed. Our Cat Casita in Fairplay, CO houses adoptable cats in a cage-free cat "playroom" - visitors are welcome to stop by and meet our cats anytime during open hours. The Cat Casita is located downstairs at High Paw Pet Supply, 503 Hwy. 285, Fairplay, CO (719) 836-4909. Our Just Cats "Cat Cottage" is located in Denver at 7150 Leetsdale Drive, Denver, 80224 where adoptable cats enjoy a cage-free adoption room. Call 720-235-2724. We also operate a thrift store in Breckenridge, Colorado to help fund our operations so we can help as many pets as possible. Animal Rescue of the Rockies Thrift Shop is located at 203 N. Main Street in Breckenridge, (970) 453-4339.
