The Oswego County SPCA - OCAWL was founded in 1972 as an organization dedicated to rescuing animals in need, providing them with the necessary medical care (if needed), housing them and loving them until they find their forever home. If an animal is not deemed "adoptable", we keep the animal in our care for its lifetime. We truly are a no-kill organization. We receive no federal or state funding. We run solely on the donations of our generous supporters. All of people that work with our organization are volunteer. We have no home office or paid employees. Virtually every penny raised goes directly for the care of our animals.
Our pets are all kept in various foster homes. In order to meet them, you can call their specific foster parent. We regularly have two cages in the Adoption Center in Petsmart in Clay, NY. We hold adoption events every so often, so check our website for current event info.
