We proudly serve the greater Pittsburgh area, but we have no boundaries when it comes to adoption. While our campus is located in Pittsburgh, we welcome adopters from anywhere and are happy to help pets find loving homes both locally and beyond.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationVisit our website or stop by to view the animals currently available for adoption. Complete an adoption application online or in person.
- Approve ApplicationOur adoption counselors review your application to ensure a great match for both you and the animal.
- Meet the PetIf your application is approved, your household will meet the pet. If you have other dogs at home, a dog-to-dog meet is required.
- Sign Adoption ContractOnce it’s a match, you’ll complete the adoption paperwork.
- Take the Pet HomeCongratulations! You’ll receive information on your pet’s medical history and helpful resources to support a smooth transition.
