Rescue FAQs

Mission Statement Fat Kitty City Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches. Our objectives are: Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets. When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family. Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care. To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering. Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around). Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc. Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
We are located in El Dorado Hills and serve the surrounding communities.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption contract on line. Our fees vary from kittens to adult cats, from puppies to adult dogs.

You must be 18 years older to adopt. We take all of our animals back indefinitely.
