Our adoption fee is $100.00 for Cats/Kittens, $125.00 for dogs....we require a vet reference, personal reference and we deliver our animals directly to the home. All dogs are placed in homes with fenced yards.
All of our animals are spay/neutered, have been tested negative for FIV/Felv (cats) and Heartworm/Lyme Disease (dogs). All animals have had necessary shots prior to adoption.

Last Hope is a non-profit, tax-exempt orgaization incorporated in 1982, that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of death-due pound, stray and abandoned animals. We do not operate a shelter, but foster our rescued animals in the homes of volunteers or participation veterinarians. We operate a small adoption center for cats and kittens at 581 W. Jericho Tpke., Huntington, NY and a adoption center for Dogs located in the rear of Basic Pet Care, 642 Route 109 Lindenhurst, NY. We raise money to finance our rescue efforts through fundraisers such as flea markets, auctions, luncheons, dinnners, low-cost vaccination clinics, raffles and mailings. We also assist and facilitate TNR for stray cats/kittens.
