Broward County Animal Care & Adoption's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

View our pets on our website at www.broward.org/animal and submit an Adoption Application.

2. Meet the Pet

Once your application is reviewed and the pet is available, our staff will call you to schedule an appointment to meet the pet.

3. Take the Pet Home

If you decide to adopt the pet, you will be able to take him home!

I See a Pet I'm Interested in Adopting! Now What?

We make it as easy as 1, 2, 3 to get your new friend home! Here's all you have to do:

1. View our pets on our website at www.broward.org/animal.

2. If you find a pet you are interested in adopting, complete and submit an Adoption Application (instructions are given on our website).

3. If the pet is available, our Customer Service team will make an appointment for you to meet the pet.

Your new pet will come complete with:
A physical exam
All necessary vaccinations
Spaying or neutering
Broward County Rabies Registration License Tag
Microchip

About Broward County Animal Care & Adoption

Animal Care provides shelter for homeless pets and helps reunite owners with their lost dog or cat. Animal Care offers spay/neuter services for pets and community cats, as well as neighborhood Rabies Clinics. In addition, the agency enforces animal laws to help support public safety. Animal Care also offers Volunteer and Foster opportunities to those interested in supporting pets in need.
