Animal Friends Alliance's Adoption Process

Animal Friends Alliance is currently offering adoption by appointment only, 6 days a week (Tuesday through Sunday). If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption questionnaire online and we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet your new family member.

Adoptable CATS are located at our Mulberry Campus at 2321 E Mulberry St Unit 1, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

Adoptable DOGS are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Mulberry campus for cats or our Taft Hill campus for dogs, or at one of our many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

About Animal Friends Alliance

Animal Friends Alliance is a non-profit, adoption guarantee cat and dog shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.

Come Meet Animal Friends Alliance's Pets

UPDATE 6.5.2020: To protect the health of our staff and the community, all staff and all adopters are required to wear masks. We will ask clients who are not wearing a face covering to leave. We are also asking any community members who are feeling sick or who have been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms to please stay away for the safety of our neighbors and loved ones.
