The first step in our adoption process is our adoption agreement. Once we have that in hand we do a home check. Then we ask that you bring your whole family to meet the Horse, Donkey, Mule, Dog or Puppy that your interested in adopting.
Our fees for puppies are $75.00 - $100.00
Our fees for adult dogs are $50.00 - $100.00
Our fees for horses are $100.00 - $750.00

At Hooves & Paws Rescue of the Heartland we rescue & rehabilitate abused, starved, neglected or unwanted horses, donkeys, mules, dogs & puppies. If possible, following rehabilitation, we place such animals in loving forever homes. If for any reason an animal cannot be placed, the animal will live it's life out at our "No Kill' Rescue/Shelter in a safe, loving environment.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
