Come Meet Humane Society of Southern Arizona's Pets

Thank you for considering adopting from the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
We have recently changed our policies for viewing adoptable pets and are now allowing walk-through viewing of both our cat and dog kennels by appointment. To make an appointment please call our Adoptions department at 520-327-6088 ext 173. If your call is not answered, please leave a message including your name and phone number. An adoption counselor will contact you within 24 hours of your inquiry.
If you are contacting us regarding an animal seen on the Adopt-a-Pet website please note that this is an advertising platform shared by multiple rescues and shelters in the Tucson area. To verify that the pet you are viewing is residing at our facility, please check the upper right hand corner of the pet’s profile page. If the animal is at our facility it will read “I am being cared for by the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.”
PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption listings are updated each day as animals are added or adopted. Appointments are made for the purpose of viewing animals that are available at the time of the appointment. The availability of individual animals may change at short notice. We are currently unable to place a hold on a specific animal for your appointment.
Appointments can be made up to three days in advance of the day you intend to visit. We ask that you come prepared to finalize the adoption and take the animal home at the time of appointment if the right match for you is found at our shelter.
Each 60-minute appointment includes time to walk through the kennel areas, one-on-one meets with up to two animals that are potential matches for you, and the completion of the adoption process, as well as the purchase of supplies for your new pet. To maintain safe physical distancing, we ask that you limit the members in your party to those who will be directly living with the animal. If you are interested in dogs and have one or more already residing in your home, we do encourage you to bring your dog(s) so that introductions can be done at our facility prior to adoption, ensuring that the dogs will get along at home.
• Come to the Adoption entrance at your scheduled time. Please wear your face covering at all times.
• Please be on-time. We cannot honor your reservation if you arrive more than 15 minutes past the appointment time.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is committed to the health and well-being of the community we serve. To help protect one another, we require face coverings, and physical distancing while in our facility.
