We have an online adoption application or we can visit with you on the phone. Our main requirements are a stable home, loving family, fenced yard, inside home, and vet care. We require a home visit on older animals because we like to deliver them to their new home so they know that we are placing them into new loving hands. Our fees vary depending on the medical care that the animal has received. Usually between $60.00 and $100.00.

About Real Rescue, Inc.
Real Rescue was started in 2001 by Dana and Chris Venters, husband and wife and both lifelong animal lovers. We bought an 80 acre beautiful
farm/sanctuary outside of Oklahoma City for the Rescue to call home. We have no paid staff. All donated money goes directly to the care of the animals. We are a Petsmart charity and adopt out of the Oklahoma City area Petsmarts. We also have visitors to our farm by appointment. We rescue dogs, cats, pot-bellied pigs. We have a variety of animals because we have always rescued whatever crossed our path and needs help. We created the rescue because both Chris and Dana had rescued animals all their lives before "rescue" became a term.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
