A 150 Genevieve Ln., Crescent City, CA 95531 rescue helping to find loving homes for cats.
This rescue hasn't posted any pets that match these criteria.
We are located in Crescent City, CA, but will accept cats from anywhere in the USA. Currently we have received cats as far away as San Diego, California. Some have been driven here by their person and others have been flown into the Crescent City airport.
We rescue homeless, abused, abandoned cats. We also provide a home for those cats left to us by their persons for various reasons. We are a no kill shelter and will provide lifetime, loving care for any cat placed under our guardianship if it is not adopted. This shelter was started because there was a need for a place where cats could live out there lives in a natural, safe, loving environment. We accept cats in all stages of life, some with medical conditions, handicaps, the elderly and the orphans needing to be bottle fed. F.A.T. Cat Haven will provide anything necessary for a cat to have a loving, quality of life. Our greatest need is:
- volunteers for grooming cats and cleaning
- grant writer to raise funds to expand our facility and provide the needed funding for food and veterinary care so we can shelter and provide a home for more cats in need.
Please come and meet the residences of F.A.T. Cat Haven by calling us at (707)464-4121 anytime, we are open 7 days a week by appointment only. If we miss your call it will be returned within 24 hours. You can also send us an email to fatcat@fatcathaven.org or visit our website www.fatcathaven.org to meet some of the cats online and get a glimpse of the sanctuary. Many visitors say it should be called "Fat Cat Heaven" instead of Haven. Watch for fund-raising garage sales in the Triplicate Newspaper.
The cats need donations of money, food (canned & dry), treats, paper towel, revolution flea treatment or advantage flea treatment (any size), laundry detergent, sponges and of course loving volunteers.
