Areas Just Animals Shelter Serves

Just Animals primarily serves the counties of LaSalle, Grundy, Livingston, Marshall, Bureau, and Putnum. In 2008 we placed 325 cats & dogs. 2009 was a record year 475 dogs and cats found their forever homes!

We recently lost our lease and have been forced to switch over to a foster program. Our dream and goal is to have a building once again, so we can continue to rescue the many lost souls looking for a safe harbor!

Just Animals Shelter's Adoption Process

To adopt a pet from Just Animals Shelter we require that a 4 page application be filled out in full. Adoption fees for dogs start at $185.00 and can go as high as $300.00 for purebred puppies under 3 months of age.

About Just Animals Shelter

Just Animals is a no-kill, non-profit shelter run by a small staff and group of dedicated volunteers. All of our funding comes from donations and fundraisers. We take in hundreds of stray, abused, neglected, and owner surrendered animals every year. Our goal is to provide the best medical and emotional care to mend their broken bodies and spirits; and when they are ready, offer them for adoption to a safe, permanent, loving indoor homes. All pets are vet checked, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. Cats are tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and dogs are Heartworm tested and either treated or put on preventative medication.
