Rescue FAQs

A New Hope Rescue is privately run and funded through family, friends, and supporters of the rescue. We take in and adopt out dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small animals. We help provide transport, and information on low cost spay/neuter and vaccinations and care for your pet. We also provide low cost pet sitting. We work with area Humane Societies on the intake of birds since most Humane Societies are not able to take in birds to do room and funding. We also take in puppies and kitties when we have available room. We are in the process of obtaining our 501(c)3 non-profit.
We try to help anywhere and in any way we can. We are located in Muskegon, MI.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process will involve introduction to the pet you are interested in adoptiong to be sure that this pet is exactly the right pet for you and your family. An application or interview is necessary as well as a contract. We require the adopter to be at least 21 years old. Adoption fees vary . We can also help with cost/help with any other things you feel necessary to bring the new pet into your home. We also ask that the animal you adopt will be returned back to us if it does not work out for you in any way.

We could always use bleach, Paper towels, Washclothes, bird food, fresh fruits, veggies, and yogurt. Rubber gloves, newspaper, towels, anything bird and reptile, blankets, etc. Any items on our wishlist can be new or used in good clean condition or purchased at your local store. Items listed do not have to be exact, just suggested items.
