Rescue FAQs

Since 2006, we have operated Plano's first no-kill animal shelter. Our mission is to rescue at-risk cats and dogs from local municipal shelters. We supply them with needed medical care, food, and shelter. Just as important, we provide all of our cats and dogs with the love and attention they deserve until they are placed into their forever homes. Come visit us and adopt your newest family member today! Everyone deserves a second chance. Second Chance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with, nor do we receive any funding from, the SPCA of Texas, ASPCA, or any other humane organization. We do not receive any city, state, or federal funds. Over the last 10 years, we've rescued over 3,200 dogs and cats who were slated for euthanasia at DFW municipal shelters and placed them with forever families.
Serving the Plano, Texas area since 2006. Anyone who lives in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex is able to adopt from us!
