Rescue FAQs

We are just two people doing what we can, and some of what we probably cant, to give these deserving animals a second chance at a life and a family.
We are a home based, state lisenced rescue located in Pittsburg,KS. We take in animal primarly from Crawford Count area however if we have no, no critter is turned away. We are a no kill rescue, and animal we adopt out are welcome back anytime after adoption should it not work out. A week, a year, it doesnt matter. When we rescue an animal, we will always be here for them no matter what. We primarly work with dogs however we will take in repties, small and furry animals, birds, some cats, and even horses. Our rescue is run out of our 14acre farm. The dogs run a 2 acre frenced in area with plenty of toys, sunny places to lay and shade to snooze in. A warm barn stacked with dog houses and straw if they choose or we have a 'dog room/crate room' in our home that smaller, inside, or for some other reason cannot be outside dogs.
We are not yet 501(c) 3, we opperate purly out of pocket and the few gracious people who want to offer help dispite our non exempt status.
We do not adopt out sick or unwell animals. All animals have been well socialized and are used to a home type enviroment. They are up to date on all shots and spayed/neutered before leaving.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires an approved application with a vet refrence. Since we do this out of our home we do not have posted open hours for people to just come and browse but rather call and set an appointment to come and spend some one-on-one with the animal you fancy.
Adoption fee's (for dogs) range from $80-$100 depending on the dog and how much extra we have had to put into them. Please keep in mind that our dogs are free of parasites, are up to date on ALL shots and have been altered. Most have already been checked for HW and are on prevenatives.
note: We do not allow dogs to go live on chains.
We do not adopt out animals for hunting purposes of any kind.
