We are located in the Springfield, Greene County Area.

Humane Society of Southwest Missouri's Adoption Process

Upon adoption of either a cat or dog, fees do vary on the animals For cats the adoption fees range between $65-$75. For dogs the adoption fees range between $75-$115. All animals that are adopted from our shelter are required by state law to be either spayed/neutered. We also have a adoption contract that is required with the adoption. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt.

About Humane Society of Southwest Missouri

The Mission of the Southwest Missouri Humane Society shall be to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals; to participate in educational programs and disseminate information to promote animal welfare and to operate a shelter for animals in need of care and place such animals in suitable homes when possible.
We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen. But all of our animals are looking for permanent homes.

Tues- Fri 12p.m. till 5 p.m.
Sat 11a.m. till 4 p.m.
Closed SUNDAY & MONDAY.
