Rescue FAQs

We started in 2006, volunteering with another rescue but have since gone out on our own. We rescue siberian huskies from local shelters, take in surrenders and assist in direct home transfers. We adopted our first siberian husky in 2005 and have been hooked to the breed ever since. We run strictly on volunteers and all the rescues live in our homes. All money to care for the animals comes from local donations or our own pockets so anything that anyone can help with is appreciated greatly.
Upstate NY ( including Fulton, Montgomery, Herkimer, Saratoga counties) and surrounding areas.

Additional adoption info

We start the process by having potential adopters fill out an application, we review this application and if it is a suitable match for any of our rescues, we set up a home visit. We bring the dog to the potential adopters home for a few hours to see how the animal reacts to the surroundings, other animals, children, etc. If the home visit works out, an adoption agreement is then filled out followed by the adoption fee. Adoption fees varies from $100-$250 and is determined by how long the dog has been in foster care, what vet attention the dog required and housing and food. We are straight forward with all potential adopters.
