Additional adoption info
To adopt a pet from us, we require an adoption application to make sure our dogs go into good homes and that the dog would be a good fit for your family and lifestyle. To get an adoption application, email us at happyhomesrescue@hotmail.com. Since we are all volunteers with busy schedules, please be patient with us - we will normally reply within 24 hours. Once an application is approved, we will set up an appointment for you to meet with the dog at the next adoption event. Very rarely will we be able to do mid-week appointments, as we are all volunteers with busy schedules. We do require that all current dogs meet the potential adoptee, so this meeting is critical to the adoptions success. Once you're approved and have met the dog, there is a adoption contract that will be completed along with an adoption fee to be paid. Once these are complete, your new friend is ready to go home with you!!

About Happy Homes Rescue
Happy Homes Rescue is a non-profit dog rescue. We are completely volunteer-based, and all of our dogs are fostered in homes where they receive the love and care that they need until they are adopted into forever homes. We provide all the medical treatment, vaccines, heartworm preventative, worming and flea treatment prior to adoption. All of the dogs that are four months and older will be spayed/neutered before adoption. Puppies younger than five months are adopted out with a spay/neuter contract.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
