Rescue FAQs

. We are not a shelter and do not have a facility, we depend entirely on foster homes.We are a holistic rescue so our dogs and cats a home cooked or raw food diet and can food only,no dry food. We educate our adoptors and are happy to advise and guide them, if they wish to continue with holistic care.

Additional adoption info

We screen applicants very closely, including a home inspection after completion of the application. Upon approval, a contract is signed and an adoption fee is collected. PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION first before emailing or calling. Application is on our website. Send it in with your inquiry. We will contact you if you are a good match for one of our rescues. We do this procedure because most of our rescues are special needs and it saves us time to look at an application to see if the interested party is a good match for our rescues. Sorry for the in convenience.

If you cannot adopt at this time, will you please consider a donation to Dharma Rescue for Cats and Dogs so we may continue to provide veterinary care, transport, foster, and facilitate adoptions for many more animals in need.
