Cameron Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue group associated with Cameron Animal Hospital. The hospital has been rescuing animals since its founding in 1936.
Cameron Animal Rescue focuses on helping animals from local areas that do not have shelter support, or from overwhelmed city shelters in the northern NJ/NYC area.The rescue particularly focuses on animals in need of medical care, including injuries and neonatal animals.

- Approve Application
- Visit the Facility and Find a PetAn appointment will be scheduled for you to meet the animals and find the right match. Please note there are no same day adoptions.
Additional adoption info
If you are interested in adopting, please email CAHadoptions@gmail.com. After filling out an adoption application, you will be contacted directly by one of our adoption coordinators who will arrange a time for you to meet some of the cats and kittens available for adoption.
The $250 adoption donation for cats and kittens is non-refundable and includes the following:
--Full initial series of FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations; follow up vet exams will be scheduled for any remaining vaccines at the time of adoption.
--FeLV and FIV testing.
--Initial fecal testing; complete treatment until the animal tests negative.
--Initial prophylactic deworming.
--Spay/Neuter.
--Microchip.
--Feline Bartonella testing, treatment, and titration testing for all cats over 1 year old.
*The adoption donation does not include pet insurance, additional testing, subsequent vaccinations or medical care after the animal has been adopted.
Adoption fees vary for pure-bred cats, dogs and small mammals. Please enquire about a specific animal for more information.
