Rescue FAQs

Because Animals Matter (BAM) is dedicated to reducing animal abuse and neglect through education. We are a fully volunteer group dedicated to the welfare of orphaned pets. We rely on our volunteers and donations to assist in finding foster and forever families for our pets in need.
We are located in S.W. Utah and serve all of that area. However, we are not limited to Utah and do pull pets from kill shelters in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. We will place pets out of state for adoption but require that the adopter make a trip to Utah to meet the pet in person or arrange to meet a BAM representative halfway between a destination. We do not fly our pets. If you are adopting from out of state we do require a vet reference letter and, when possible, will ask a local group to make a home visit prior to placement.

Adoption fees cover the costs for spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
