Pet Adoption Connection

The Pet Adoption Connection is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We are a small group dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted or abandoned dogs and cats mostly from the Los Angeles County Animal Shelters. We foster the animals in our own homes until they are placed in new permanent homes (we do NOT have a kennel facility). All animals are healthy, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, etc. before they are released from us. We do not kennel our animals, we foster them in our homes and therefore we know their temperament, personalities, likes and dislikes, thus helping us to match them with their new families.

Rescue FAQs

We are located in Orange County, CA and do our adoption events at local Petsmart Stores (check our website for locations and dates). We welcome anyone from the surrounding counties to come and check out our adorable babies. You must come to one of our adoption events to meet the animal you are interested in adopting, as we do NOT ship our animals to individuals.

Additional adoption info

When you come visit us at an adoption event to pick out a new member of your family you will be asked to fill out a short adoption contract. A Pet Adoption Connection volunteer will ask you some questions to make sure that the animal friend that you have chosen is the right fit for both you and the animal. Remember, adoption of an animal is a lifetime commitment. For this reason we when you adopt an animal it goes out on a one week trial, you have one week in which to make sure that the new pet fits into your household and if it doesn't you can return the animal to us within that week and we will refund your adoption fee. We want to make sure that the new member of your family is comfortable with you and you are comfortable with them. After the one week is over it becomes a permanent adoption. We do require that if you are adopting a puppy / dog from us that you own your home, and that you have a fully fenced backyard big enough for the dog when it is full grown (as he/she will need a permanent yard to run around in). Adoption fees are listed with each pets biographical information.
