The purpose of El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue provides refuge and makes ready for adoption, unwanted, abused, abandoned, or neglected German Shepherds, as well as educate the general public regarding animal welfare. German Shepherds which are unwanted or unable to be adopted by our animal control services are brought to our facility where they are rehabilitated and socialized providing excellent companions available for adoption. Through out our years of servicing El Dorado and surrounding counties we have hosted many organizations including, scout troops and high schools offering community service program requirements, resulting in education on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets and exposure to the needed care of abandon animals. Elementary school students regularly visit our site on scheduled day trips and are taught the importance of care and respect for all animals and nature. This rescue is funded solely through donations, and there is always a need for help of time, supplies and foster care. If you are interested in making a donation of time, money, or supplies please contact us. We are a non-profit 5013c organization and all donations are tax deductible. The dogs and I thank you for taking the time to help animals. Our non profit tax ID# is 48-1272724.
