Rescue FAQs

We Are Family Animal Rescue, Inc. is the result of our family's recognition that familial bonds extend far beyond the human form. We have created this organization as a family (mother, sister, brother, etc) with family values at the core. Let us help a member of our family become a part of yours today! We Are Family strives to be a refuge of last resort for 2nd chance animals. Therefore, we exclusively accept animals pulled by our agents from Ohio pounds, shelters, and humane societies.
We Are Family Animal Rescue, Inc. is a licensed 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Wooster, Ohio. Our mission is to rescue, shelter, and find permanent, safe, loving homes for injured, abused, unwanted, and abandoned animals thus providing a safe harbor for animals that might otherwise be destroyed. In addition, we seek to promote healthy relations between pets and people within the community through education, thereby encouraging responsible ownership, care, and the spaying/neutering of all pets.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins with an application. References are checked and a home visit is performed prior to animal placement. A non-refundable adoption fee is required to assist in covering the animal's vet care. All animals are inoculated and sterilized prior to adoption.
Dog adoption fees range from $150-200
