Shelter FAQs

Our mission is to provide shelter, safety, and food for the orphaned and abused animals of Mercer County with the goal of placing them into loving homes. We also would like to provide public education about spaying and neutering and the humane care and treatment of animals. We investigate and resolve abuse cases in the best interest of the animals and community. We are rescue friendly. Please contact the shelter on how to be approved to rescue.
We accept animals from Mercer County residents only. We do adopt outside of Mercer County. ALL animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. We are also rescue friendly.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee for dogs is $140.00, which includes the first vaccination, rabies, and spay/neuter, and deworming. The adoption fee for cats is $85.00 which also includes vaccinations, rabies, deworming and spay/neuter. Please note ALL animals are spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter.
