Shelter FAQs

Our mission is to provide shelter, safety, and food for the orphaned and abused animals of Mercer County with the goal of placing them into loving homes. We also would like to provide public education about spaying and neutering and the humane care and treatment of animals. We investigate and resolve abuse cases in the best interest of the animals and community. We are rescue friendly. Please contact the shelter on how to be approved to rescue.
We accept animals from Mercer County residents only. We do adopt outside of Mercer County. ALL animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. We are also rescue friendly.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
  2. Meet the Pet
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
